Although it’s a bit late in the day to mention it – Dubai is having a shopping festival that is set to have reporters and promoters abuzz with excitement. Running from the 20th January to the 20th February (yes, that’s 5 days time) you can head on over to see just what it means to be a part of the culture in Dubai and what you can look for in the way of entertainment.
Dubai is a country on the way to the limelight. Money is having a gargantuan effect on it’s people, and, for better or worse, the world is starting to stand up and take note. Their bid for the World Cup was frankly lightyears ahead of the competition, and it’s not a place skimping on entertainment at large.
The shopping festival is boasting 30 days of dancing, acting, parades and so on among all of the shopping and fashion displays on show. Boasting some of the biggest trend setters in the middle Easy, it really is a feast for the eyes. Etihad airways are proud to announce themselves as the official airline for the UAE, and you’ll be able to find flights to abu dhabi with ease.
Of course there is very little time to get yourself to Abu Dhabi in time for the festival (unless you’re one of those crazy cats that will make a plan the night before and run in flashing your passport for all it’s worth) but a little bit of digging around the website will bring up information about the abu dhabi grand prix which was a roaring success for travelling fans last year. They’re already gearing up for the one at the end of this year (one extreme to the other – no notice what so ever to several months in the space of a few blogged-paragraphs!) and if it’s the sort of thing that interests you I suggest you get on with the planning as soon as possible so that you don’t have to wait for a behind-the-times blogger to remind you about an event that’s hundreds of miles away and almost finished!!
